Azure Quantum & Microsoft Q#

Er is voor mij, in ons domein, bijna niets zo ongrijpbaar als Quantum Computing. Dat het een serieuze impact gaat hebben (of misschien al heeft) op het security domein is wel duidelijk maar wat we er nou verder aan hebben… Gelukkig hebben wij, van de Microsoft Tribe, Johnny Hooyberghs gevonden; die ons alles gaat vertellen over Azure Quantum en Microsoft Q#.

De talk is in het Nederlands en vindt plaats op ons hoofdkantoor in Den Bosch, compleet met eten vooraf. Inloop vanaf 17:00 uur en de talk zelf start om 18:30 uur.

Zijn talk vat hij zelf als volgt samen:
“You’ve probably heard about quantum computing, but it still remains a mystery? In this introductory session, I will explain important concepts like qubits, superposition and entanglement and how quantum computing can hopefully help us to solve exponentially large problems. Some theoretical knowledge about quantum physics, quantum gates and quantum algorithms will be combined with examples using a simulated environment on a local PC and on real quantum hardware using Azure Quantum. Most of these examples will use the new quantum language Q# from Microsoft and some additional examples will use Python to solve optimization problems using the Azure Quantum Inspired Optimization (QIO).”
